Whether or not you have pain in your shoulders, a lot of us- make that most of us, have tightness in our shoulders.
The most common muscle that is tight is the “pecs”, which is actually 2 muscles. The Pectoralis Major and Pectoralis Minor. They cover a large portion of the front of your shoulders and chest.
So why do they get tight?
Posture!!! When we sit for prolonged periods of time, our shoulders tend to round forward. When we sit like this long enough, the muscles shorten and stay tight.
