Tips For Runners (especially if you aren’t really a runner)
So times are pretty crazy right now. I was out for a run this past weekend (I’m still training for my marathon, even though it was cancelled) and I noticed that there are A LOT of people out walking the trails in my community. Now, some of these people are walking because their gyms are closed. And some are probably walking just to get out of the house!
And with my free time (haha!) I was able to start a you tube channel. My first installment is: Tips for runners, especially if you aren’t really a runner.

E visits are now available! Continue your physical therapy from the safety of home
In response to the Shelter In Place recommendation, we understand that a lot of our patients are not able to continue their physical therapy visits at this time. We are now able to provide E-Visits from the safety of your home! E-visits will allow you to communicate directly with your physical therapist via video chat. Most insurance companies are covering these E-visits, meant to help maintain your progress during this time.
What will an e-visit look like? We will send you a link for your visit. At the appropriate time you will log in and enter our virtual waiting room. At your scheduled appointment time, we will click on your name and our treatment session will begin! We will be able to monitor your ROM, check the form of your exercises, and progress your stretches or exercises. We can email you a copy of your exercises that we discuss during our session. The only thing you will be missing is the hands on portion of our sessions.
FAQs
Will insurance cover E-visits? We believe all insurances will cover E-visits during this shelter in place. We are actively working to make sure we are up to date on what billing codes to use, to make sure we submit the claims correctly (insurance has never covered e-visits for physical therapy prior to this- so we are all new to this!!)
How long will the e-visit be? 20-30 minutes
Do I need to download an app? No downloads required- but you will need a webcam on your computer or your iphone. On a computer you will need Chrome or Mozilla (and maybe Safari?). We tested this on an iphone and it worked.
Can I do both in person and e-visits? Yes, you can do in person and e-visits concurrently during your treatment.
This is great- can my husband make an appointment with you? Unfortunately, we are unable to do evaluations for new patients with E-visits. We must do an in-person evaluation before initiating e-visits.
If you are interested in setting up an appointment with your physical therapist via our new E-visit system, please email korey@gobeyondphysicaltherapy.com. We will need to send you a separate consent form for e-visits.
We will continue in-office visits, for those who are able to. We will have decreased hours/ availability for each physical therapist.
